You may find something in your local hardware store like Home Depot called electrician's putty. I bought a 1/2 butter size block a few years ago for a few dollars. Wet your fingers before using it. Spit works well. In the Navy, this stuff was commonly called "Monkey Sh..", and while a Google search certainly brings up discussion of the material, I haven't been able to identify exactly what it is. > > This stuff forms a watertight seal, yet remains pliable so that a cable may be removed or added. It has a clay-like consistency, that never hardens. Can someone identify the commercial name of this stuff and where it might be purchased? > > Thanks! > > Joseph Bento > Electronic Communications Technician > Utah Transit Authority > jbento@rideuta.com > 801.287.3332 > > -- > http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive > View/change your membership options at > http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
