I've been searching for a tool that measures or copies shapes, with a densely-packed row of sliding pins (somewhat like a comb), and a locking mechanism. Not sure what they're officially called, but google eventually got me this ( http://www.craftsmanspace.com/free-projects/shape-copying-and-controlling-tool.html ), though it's a project. I'm looking for one that I can purchase. I've also seen them used in auto repair shops to ensure a body panel on one side matches the other side, for example. Any leads?
