Reluctantly (really) dons ADMIN hat. After minor background admin flurrying ... 1. I'd like to respectfully request that this thread be abandoned. OK. Better be clearer :-). PLEASE do not post on this thread. PLEASE do not post on this thread. PLEASE do not post on this thread. For the purposes of this request "this thread" includes any other thread that is aimed to purposefully meet the letter of this request while violating the spirit thereof. Should there be a need, someone from Holland can decide what qualifies :-). Comment below* 2. If you have problems with posts and would like admin response please follow the written procedures and contact admins offlist. Please, as per written procedures, do not post such requests or complaints on-list. You get all admins at once via: piclist-owner@mit.edu, R ____________ * It's in OT, it's reasonably humorously making a point which I (of course) have some sympathy with, by my interpretations it's not against the rules per se. BUT it is sure to cause pain ructions and noise well beyond its worth. Xaiofan has complained about it, which is not what the list rules say he should have done - if anyone has an issue with such things the instructions are clear that they should contact list admins offlist. Onlist comment just 'stirs the pot. As he has done so publicly, here's a public comment: I really think the best response would be to either not read OT or to ignore things in OT that are not liked that don't clearly breach guidelines. It's quite likely that he has not realised that the subject line is a vaguely subtle reference to other existing threads. BUT his not seeing this, or not caring about the reason for it if he does see it, doesn't alter the fact that some will be annoyed by it and that it will grow out of proportion to its undoubted worth. __________ >> Take a 400A battery and nipple clamps ...... Yes. I know it's a joke (of course) but FWIW- people have died from having 12V applied across the chest from a suitably low impedance source. A 400A capable battery of almost any voltage would quite likely qualify as "suitably low". -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
