@Isaac Marino Bavaresco basicly what I understand of the conversation is that if I provide power without and sort of voltage/current regulator and providing no path other than the microcontroller power pins that the microcontroller will only draw what it needs and no damage will occur. Well I tried it a while ago and it had the opposite affect on the microcontroller. instead of running perfectly it just when pop and started to smell like burnt plastic. So naturally I belive after that incident that the statement must be false. I could see the microcontroller receiving less power if I provided other paths before the power pins but I'm not 100% sure. Other thing I'v gotten from this conversation is that I suck at drawing and I'm perceived as a troll getting entertainment from getting other people wound up and angry ... -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
