I have to dig up this timeline spreadsheet that I one made for a presentation about the future of design and computation. I'd like to offer it to be collaborated on to extend it to whoever sends me an email requesting, it contains things like technology, transistors, DRAM densities, mayor CPUs, FPGA, Compilers, OSs and CAD tools...
