Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I'm curious what people think of a couple of options I found. First up, the PoScope http://www.poscope.com/product.php?pid=18 Main features include 2 channel scope, 16 channel LA, spectrum analyzer, pulse and pattern generator, etc. Not bad for EUR156. Major downside is that the scope channels are only 1MHz each. It is compact and inexpensive though, and I'd love to replace the USB logic analyzer I currently travel with with something a bit more capable in the analog world. Second, the MSO-19 http://www.linkinstruments.com/mso19.htm Similar to the first, but only a single scope channel and 8 bit LA. Specs say much better performance though, up to 60 MHz bandwidth. I've only downloaded the PoScope software, and I can't seem to find the LA portion. I've emailed in a few questions though. For what I do, which includes serial comms, displays, switches, encoders, etc, these seem ok. I'm never really analyzing complex analog signals, just verifying their voltage level at given times in a sequence. Any thoughts? By the way, to tie this back to the original idea, check this out: http://www.saelig.com/PSPCEL/PS027.htm Josh -- A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. -Douglas Adams -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
