Here's a little more info (although no datasheet) : http://www.microchipdirect.com/ProductSearch.aspx?keywords=ZG2101MC They're part of the Zero-G project and pretty pricey. You might also look at the AC164136 development kit for the Explorer 16. I got a couple almost a year ago, but that was before I realized they were too expensive for my applications. I'm leaning back towards MRF49XA now. Interestingly enough, there's about a 3 page spec sheet in the box for the AC164136, but almost no info apart from the schematic that references the ZeroG G2100 module (on the pictail, it's a little daughter board with 36 pins with a metal box mounted on it). I think Digikey shows 40 in stock, but even they don't link to a datasheet. There seems to be a lot of discussion on Microchip forums if you want to followup. I'm still interested in the technology (still dreaming of controlling my pics remotely with an iPhone/iPod), and they may drop the price if the project gets more volume.
