Gus - A "quality-of-life" issue for some is the death toll on the roads. Namibia fares poorly in this regard, but perhaps surprisingly, NZ is'nt much better. I'm not throwing rocks at anybody - I'm a bicyclist in SoCal, and have been hit 3x in the last seven years, after 50 years unscathed, courtesy cell phones, IMHO. A couple I know moved from Boston to NZ a few years ago - And moved back two years later - Indulging their bicycle habit was simply too dangerous...
