> When you threaten to stop helping newbies in the subject matters that > you are so brilliant ...... > well then ..... I am NOT impressed. If you actually stop > contributing ...... then a pox on you. This was about Olin, but it applies to anyone. Why "a pox on you" if someone chooses not to contribute? Why should Olin, or anyone, feel obliged to offer free help? For anyone who does provide help, to newbies or anyone, that's great, and it deserves our thanks. But I don't see that it's right to criticise someone for remaining silent. I suppose I take this personally, because I seldom contribute here, and every now and then I see something that I could answer, but I generally don't take the time to do so, because I have many other things to do, and choose to spend spare time writing tutorials that could help more people than a single answer in the PIClist could do. Does that mean "a pox on me" for not helping more?
