... So there is a limit on some types, especially if the temperature isn't monitored adequately. That's my experience. AGMs & Gel cells are different animals. My AGM experience is exclusively deep-discharge types... At the recent robotics competition I mentioned in another post, the rules require a specific 17AH gel cell - There were a surprising number of battery failures during the competition, considering the batteries were all new, & the matches last 150 seconds. We played every round (we won - Go Beach City Robotics!) & had 1 battery failure, a leak.
