They admit that there is uncertainty about battery rejuvenation (and
that it's unsuitable for SLA) but do say that some people report an
improvement in capacity

I've a neighbour who's interested in solar storage and I thought
this would be helpful for him. It's not a particularly expensive unit
to build but I've no pressing need to make one for myself to try
and he's done nothing yet

Now, much to my embarassment, I've looked up an earlier issue of
Silicon Chip and found a, gulp, whoops, PIC-based SLA charger.
Also now uploaded to dropboks (10 files, 2.18MB total). The s/w
should be available at Silicon Chip's download page, April 2008
