:: Note that ITAR can apply to software, and tom quite apparently :: innocuous components This is getting dangerously off topic - but as this list's ackowledged Terry Ist (re a post waaaaaay back) I had great problems purchasing a book about uControllers from a US company, and had to sign a piece of paper affirming I would never take the book to a number of ex-Empire countries in Asia, never allow anyone in those countries to purchase an end product that contained code either from the book or my own by using their compiler. Them 8051's are dangerous piece if kit when you throw a tube of them at someone.
