So far I've had no ITAR restriction problems on my occasional Digikey orders. The only outright US-NZ prohibited munitions transfers that I'm aware of are rated in the kT+ range and the prohibition is at the receiving end :-) Note that ITAR can apply to software, and tom quite apparently innocuous components - things far less obvious than an encryption engine, so care can be needed. I'm told on good authority that one result has been for European satellite makers proscribing US sourced componentry, not out of nationalistic considerations, but so that they don'r risk having critical parts suddenly rendered unavailable.
