So it doesn't really add anything to a serial interface other than being able to view framing errors and it has hex mode. It only does standard baud rates. The i2c and spi interfaces are useful for prodding at stuff, and they do have "listen-only" modes so they could be used for light debugging. I haven't used it very much and not for anything serious, it's a neat device and it does more than what I've mentioned, is definitely worth $29 but isn't a real analyzer for even the buses it supports, just a neat and tidy scriptable interface gadget.
