Hi, I am looking for a cheaper still well robust alternative to MCP73871 in
a single chip that can do automatic load sharing between battery and
charger. I get this one at 1.4USD on 100 units.

Other parameters of interest are: Integrated pass transistor, charge current
>=0.5A, safety timer and thermal shutdown. It will charge from USB, and a
nice to have is end voltage charge at 4.10v as offered by MCP73871 rather
than more standard 4.20v.

I know I can achieve same thing with external FET and simpler/cheaper
charger, but testing a discrete solution will increase cost when compared to
an integrated one on a small series.

Suggestions welcome. TIA.
