Thanks James and Bob, I've spent a fair bit of time studying the info on both systems (the Intronix and the 232 Analyser) and can see lots of merit in both. I need to give it some more thought, but because I mostly only see individual devices .. not complete systems, the 232 Analyser still looks like it may be the best bet at the moment. Being able to inject commands and see the response should help heaps ... providing I can work out what I need to send, and what I should expect in return !!!
