Count me as one buyer if you sell it for $50 and it indeed works. Now when I am starting to understand this PC-scope field little more. On the Velleman there is two things the firmware for the FPGA and the PC-software. Naturally there is a PIC which takes care about the communication between PC and the FPGA. I will some time later see whether I could test programming the FPGA myself. Naturally I probably need some information from Velleman for that to happen. It would be nice if we had real open PC-Scope hardware for hobbyists. It is not enough to develop the hardware. Software needs also be developed. And that seems to be very big part of the project. The Velleman programmer told me that the software is something like 500 pages in MS Word(I don't know what the fontsize was) The function generator side was something like 300 pages in MS Word. And indeed the Windows software is quite nice. I already decided I won't try to duplicate whole functionality of it. I try to get basic functions working first and hope other people would join in and tell me that it should be scraped and started over :-))) Velleman has the 1000-series of scope and function generator. Sadly I was told that they function quite differently from PCSGU250. But I think I could use most of my program with them also. But that's the later project.
