I've been ripped off a couple of times by sellers. The last time (2007)
the seller simply pocketed several thousand dollars of buyers' money
for a variety of items, closed her eBay account, waited a few of weeks,
then opened a new account with eBay.

The amount was small ($45) but dealing with eBay's "resolution" process
left me convinced that as long as eBay gets paid eBay does'nt much care
what sellers do, or don't do. The clincher was they allowed her to open a
new account with nearly 100 complaints against her for non-performance.

Maybe now that Meg has moved on to politics things have improved, but
eBay won't see any more of my money.
