Thanks for the reply. Since I don't have a laptop computer, PC based was not an option. I was trying to keep cost around under $150, The Scangauge II is still inviting, in that the fuel mileage is instantaneous available, and once you have a little background data, would recognize a problem. In the case of the Cougar which has instantaneous and trip mileage available, if I would have recognized the fuel mileage drop as being an engine issue (running perfectly otherwise) , instead of in error blaming the alcohol in the gasoline, the issue would have been fixed a long time ago. The cost looks like this 12,000 miles/30 MPG x $2.50/gallon x 15% drop in MPG = $150. That would pay for the Scangauge II. Unfortunately our Ford Bronco full size SUV only gets driven usually 1000 miles per year, it's hard to justify cost for it. I was hoping to find a scanner that would have access to the non-standard OBDII info. The ScangaugeII is now available with programming (Xgauge), to allow some of this, but appears that there will be more than a little amount of research and programming time needed, where I was hoping this work already done. :) Vitaliy wrote: > Carl Denk wrote: > >> Had a 2002 Mercury Cougar with a 2.5L.
