Nothing beat PICKit 1/2 in this particular case (internal MCLR and internal RC oscillator). They can even recover the calibration bits for you. For other PIC programmer I used, I still think PM3 is the best programmer but I have not used it since 2006. It has the built-in ICSP module with better driving capability than the PICkit 1/2/3 or ICD 2/3 or Real ICE.
