I bought an ICD3 to replace it. In one of my projects I use an 12F629 where=
 the =

MCLR pin is used as a digital input. The ICD2 happily programmed and =

reprogrammed the chip (even though MPLAB complained about that this was not =

supported) but the ICD3 could not reprogram it after it had been programmed =

once. Worked OK with the PICKIT2 though.
