I saw a shear for cutting tile at Home Depot or Lowes a while back. Not sure if they still have them. It was similar in operation to the shear from Northern Tool...sort of a paper cutter with lots of leverage on the handle. It was wide enough for a 12" tile, so it could handle most boards.
