It may also be that there is a perception that COG requires real high 
volumes to make it economic, and as many of the readers of this list appear 
to be involved in less than zillions at time runs, they may not have 
researched them, hence no results to reply with ...

Certainly I hadn't realised that the COG items are available as 
off-the-shelf items.
