Mostly just that you are trying to compare them. There is very little to compare otherwise. The LED you speak of is a string of LEDs in some package. The lamp in a projector creates a point source of light. The day they make a point source LED with 1500 lumens is the day you will see them in full-sized projectors. They do make projectors with LEDs but they only have enough light for small displays.
