Have you looked at the MRF24J40MA module for the 2.4GHz ISM band? = Complete module with integrated pcb antenna and matching circuit, crystal a= nd = voltage regulator for less than 10$. FCC, IC and ETSI compliant and with = regulatory approvals for modular devices. Range is up to 400m (outside, line of sight according to the datasheet). Can be used with microchips zigbee or miwi (p2p) stack. I have not used it yet but am planning to do some experiments for a wireles= s = "intelligent home network" that initially uses temperature sensors and swit= ches = to do in-house room to room heating management. = /Ruben > http://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/Devices.aspx?dDocName=3Den541404 > = > Has anyone done a project with this chip? > = > It looks insanely cheap for the performance you get, I'm trying to = > understand what the catch is.
