There are  a number of "women only" Afghan companies doing various sorts of
electronic work. One such manufactures LED solar lanterns. The concept of
woman's empowerment drives a number of these enterprises.

There is, of course, no guarantee that she is not a 65 year old male
Mujahadeen. Offer to sell her thermal batteries and gauge the interest level
:-).

I have a contact in Kabul who would probably be prepared to comment on the
bona fides of any such person, if desired. I suggest you email me offlist if
