Sorry for the delay. That's the book I've got as well. I'm only a few chapters in and real life has intervened for a while. It seems fairly well written, not too stuffy or quick for my brain. I didn't understand his initial explanation of bitwise manipulation but I'm hoping it gets covered or shown in some examples as I continue.
