That part is a 3.3v PIC - if you plug it into an EasyProg you will
probably destroy it.
The good news is that you can buy an LProg for $25 which is designed
specifically for 3.3v PICs.

I haven't checked the data sheet, but I believe you can enable
alternate programming ports via the configuration settings in the
chip. Just use the primary ICSP port unless you have a really good
reason not to.
