I received Bert Van Dam's book, "Microcontroller Systems Engineering" for a Christmas gift. This book's projects are centered around Flowcode from Matrix Multimedia. Since I still struggle with assembler, I'm happy to try any programming language that might make my hobby projects easier. Flowcode seems rather intuitive in its flowchart representation, and I had no problem understanding the "hello world" example of lighting an LED. Searching the archives, it seems there has been very limited discussion of Flowcode. Is anyone using it, and what are your thoughts and recommendations? The Pro version is not prohibitively expensive if I feel I can learn adequately. Also, since I already have the hardware to work with PIC processors, would there be any benefit to consider Flowcode for an alternative architecture? Thanks!
