I've suddenly got the idea that I needed some kind of simple embedded computer with a language in the monitor like the old 8052-basic setup (I have one wire wrapped around here somewhere). It just suddenly dawned on me that there are times when I need a quick temporary hack for demonstrations and something like this would be perfect. Anything more current then the 8052? I don't want to sit there and write code, burn it and run it (current hobbyist method) rather just type in commands like we used to do with my Atari 800 (but with I/O pins :-). I'm not looking for fast, even low MHz/MIPs will do (boy that seems a little odd to say). Just something that could handle up to 19k serial data and bang a few bits. Any ideas wold be appreciated, thanks. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
