Cheers Andrew, I think it will. AFAICT the dsPIC in the project doesn't
have the smarts for sorting so an external utility will be needed. There 
will
be a printout of the tracks next to the player so it causes all kinds of 
bother
and mucking around if the files aren't in the intended order

With hindsight I wouldn't have used this kit if I'd known how slack it is
but I'm in too far to back out. Correspondence with the author has shown
that it is not as wonderful as the article suggests. For example he's using
just one sampling frequency, and only some WAVs play at the correct
speed. eg 16-bit stereo plays 6.5% slow, meaning tedious experimentation
to find out what time compression/expansion is needed to make 2m10s
playback time. The latest problem is that a Play command often causes
the track to pause at 00:00, which is just unacceptable in the application.
So I've aked him to explain his wretched key scanning now (got the real
hump with this if you can't tell ;-)))) )
