I would not recommend Godaddy for a database driven website, as their MySQL
databases run slow as heck sometimes. A friend of mine switched from Godady
to Host Gator and said the databases are much faster, so you could give that
a try.

As far as the shopping cart software goes, I used PDG Cart when I helped a
gentleman build his web store and I liked it pretty well.
