Wow, reminds me of Newark. They told me they'd only charge the carrier's shipping charge but that would be determined when the order is packaged, but added a handling charge, 11% sales tax (which is higher than the sales tax where they're headquarted, where they shipped from, and where I was), and shipping insurance (even though UPS is already past that order's value). I avoid Future for other reasons -- $14 pressure sensor was in short supply some years ago, and they had some, so they told me it would be $50 each since they're the only one that had it). By the time others got it in stock, Future still had theirs in stock. FWIW, Avnet found me some out of Asia and offered me $10 as long as I agree to use them for that part, and I've since picked up over $10k worth of those from Avnet.
