I can't remember whether I posted in this thread earlier or not but I also have had some issues with Digikey in the last year and a half or so. I'd say it has happened three times out of maybe 30 orders. Usually, when it happens, the label on the packet will match what I ordered but what is inside will be noticeably different, like 0603 size caps instead of 1206 size caps, or pushbutton switches instead of slide switches. Since all of these parts were in small quantities and only for prototyping, I never complained. If it happens with anything expensive or critical, I will complain. I do still find that Digikey's service is very good in terms of speed. I have called them up sometimes to see if I can add items to my order, perhaps a half hour after I placed it, only to find that it has already been boxed up and is sitting on the loading dock for shipment. I once (perhaps 10 years ago) had Mouser miss their ship time on a ground order and when I called to complain, they sent the order again, with a free upgrade to 2nd day air, and I got to keep both when they arrived.
