Google for Microchip > stepper I had looked at them, but the combination is about CAD$17, while the Allegro 3982 is under $7. This is in singles so while the $10 isn't a killer, it'd be nice to be somewhat economical. The only bummer about the Allegro part is that it's SMT only. That's great for my final use but not as great for prototyping. Definitely not a deal killer though.
