I have an amplifier board from a home theater that contains several class D amplifiers from TI all mounted well with heatsinks and the layout of the board is really clean. The board has a connector clearly labeled for the inputs to the amplifiers I just need a way to get PCM data like from optical converted to PWM for the amps. The problem is I do not have the chip that was used to convert the PCM data to PWM for the amplifiers. Has anyone ever used a dsPic for this ? Or is that even possible ? I saw someone do something with 1 channel and stored data on a normal pic but not having used the dsPic much at all I'm looking for input .
