Not sure I understood Bob's comment, but in any case, there is nothing rational about /any/ decision. It's simply impossible, by principle, to make a decision based on only rational, objective criteria... Every decision needs to bring in goals and values by which to judge objective facts, and these goals and values are always subjective. Which goals and values are more "worthy" is again a completely irrational judgment. If you think you make rational decisions, you kid yourself. In a not very rational way... :) > There's no room to cut corners with nuclear power, but that is what > happens when it's all about money. Ah... the market sorts this out, sooner or later :) Of course, /if/ something goes wrong with my neighbor's generator, he will fully compensate me. That's just how the system works. And of course these generators can be buried and don't need maintenance... if the manufacturer says so, this is the case. After all, this is how the system works... Haven't we all designed dozens of maintenance-free and guaranteed to work units? :) Gerhard -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
