There's nothing wrong with the printer itself. It can print a test page, and I can ping it successfully (it's hooked up to my laptop right now via ethernet). What you all have said is what I've been reading for hours on various websites and forums, but I simply cannot locate a driver that works. With the XP machine, although the driver should be built in, I have been unable find the printer through the add printer wizard. With Windows 7 (the computer I prefer to use the printer with), I can find and add the printer, but Windows cannot locate the HP Laserjet 4M Plus driver (I tried clicking the update button, and strangely that took most of the drivers off the screen). I finally tried installing the printer with the "HP Laserjet 2300 Series PS driver", but whenever I try to print I get an error about there not being enough memory in the printer, which isn't true according to the test page I printed. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
