>Today most high performance cars have switches >to turn off traction control/ABS. Watchers of the UK TV program will know that some SUVs of European origin require guys with laptops offering up magic incantations to totally turn off the traction control on various models. I remember Tiff Needell attempting to drift a Mercedes SUV at the Mercedes UK test track (IIRC), and the traction control kept fouling him up. Eventually he managed to persuade them to turn it off totally (for which the decision had to go to the highest level), which they did, as above, and wouldn't allow Tiff to watch over their shoulders to see what they were doing. Then he was able to drift around the corners. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
