It was probably 15 years ago, I was departing Muskegon, Michigan in a homebuilt (Rutan Canard Pusher COzy) aircraft. The tower controller asked if we could offset toward the tower on departure for a better view of the plane. I did, a tight (60 degree bank @100 MPH) 90 degree turn, probably a 300' radius about the tower. They thanked me as we departed the area. :) :) ---- Russell McMahon wrote: > FA-18 flying low. > Worth a look. > > http://www.internet-d.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/f18flylow.jpg > > Snopes assures us its real, and the circumstances described make sense. > Military commentator says actual separation was 200-300 feet (despite > apparent distance in image) and that no civilians were at risk of > being harmed in the circumstances in this image. > > Would have been impressive to see. > -- > http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive > View/change your membership options at > http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
