This is interesting as I generally build a micro-sized dev version of some of my regular products, so I can develop firmware when I travel (very often). It would be great to embed a programmer right onto these dev-boards, but it's a bummer that the 18F2550 is not available in SS packaging. Do you know offhand if the firmware can be ported to any other 18F chip available in 28SSOP package? I should download and experiment with the firmware.
