Brooke, I've tried a couple of watch/clock LCDs and found they
weren't quite so simple as segments on/off. There was multiplexing
and stepped voltage drives. You should put yours on a scope to
see if that's the same for yours. I could make some sense of mine
with a scope and an analyser but didn't actually follow through to
trying to drive it with a PIC. You might look up ther datasheet for
one of the PICs with an LCD drive port
