I'll see if I can find it in my archives, but there was a Circuit 
Cellar project some time ago, where someone made an epilepsy monitor 
for their dog, I can't recall if the log retrieval was manual or if it 
was remote.

It had an 'incident' LED so that the owner new an 'event' had 
occurred. Maybe this could be rehashed.

I believe the sensor worked on some sort of oximeter type sensing 
rather than something to detect movement.
