I don't recall seeing this tidbit, so I thought I'd comment.

Don't be fooled by watching an LED.  Switch bounce is way faster than your
eye can see.  You would need an oscilloscope to see it.  Or...a fast
processor...!  If you have contact bounce, you will get tens of counts with
each switch closure.  And that's why everyone is talking so enthusiastically
about it.
