I've been using ViewMaster EZ from Pentalogix. Its not free but US
$49 gets you what you need.
These guys have been around for a really long time (formerly known as
Lavenir) and the user interface shows its age. In fact, it feels a
lot like some of the old DOS stuff I used to (and still do) use.
That said: the user interface did NOT take long to learn and the
software is reliable and does exactly what I want it to do - combine
multiple Gerber files into a single board.
Pentalogix has several other tools:
ViewMate (free) - Gerber viewer
ViewMaster EZ ($49) - combine and edit Gerber files
ViewMaster Plus, CAMmaster, CAMmaster Plus, a bunch of others. They
all do neat things - but are expensive.
I used to use GCPrevue and missed out when GraphiCode were selling
PREditor (they sold it for only a short time) but nowadays I pretty
much use ViewMaster EZ exclusively. Its just easier to use than GCPrevue.
Hope this helps.
