It doesn't cost them very much to place the ad, and it may well attract a few candidates who are interested in it not for the salary, but for the travel opportunities. If the person plays the job right, they will have to pay very little of their money for food and lodging when they aren't on business trips, which could be worth as much as another 10k. Still, they are requiring experience, so I think they are taking advantage of the poor economy and attracting those that have perhaps more experience than would be needed, but are having a hard time finding a suitable job. Chances are good this kind of job has a lot of turn-over anyway, so they won't mind losing them once the economy improves. Also explains the need for experience - they don't want to spend time training someone for a position they know is only going to be short term. $22k-$29k USD is the current conversion. -Adam 2009/10/19 cdb : > =A0In my opinion of course - otherwise I'd apply! > > The job specifics. > > .. is looking for energetic and highly mobile > employees for technical support work all around the world with a > strong customer service focus. > Travelling abroad for up to 10 months of the year, successful > applicants will have the desire to develop the position into a sales > or engineering design role over time. > We are looking for applicants with electrical/mechanical engineering > or business/sales backgrounds or qualifications.
