All those books amount a pile of recyclable material without the datasheet.
Some books may be useful as a beginners introduction to microcontrollers and
electronics, but you'll have to know the details of the particular PIC you
are using if you want to accomplish anything meaningful.  If the datasheet
makes no sense, then you need to go back and learn more basics about
microcontrollers, digital circuits, and the like.
