This is why I like this here... :) Actually, it was a message view configuration that I never used and that I didn't even know that existed nor how it got activated -- and that for some reason seems to have been activated twice with bigger POP downloads from Gmail recently. That's why I thought it had to do with Gmail rather than with my client.
