I've been using it since it was released to manufacturing a few months ago. I'm a member of MSDN so my versions are all legal. Overall I've been quite happy. It's running on a tablet of mine (HP) that had no option to downgrade to XP due to drivers. I toughed it out with Vista for awhile, but 7 is much better. It boots faster and seems to run nicer. There are a couple of small hiccups with some drivers but I would guess they'll be fixed soon as more people start to use it. To be honest I haven't checked HP's site recently. In fact, one thing that impressed me the most was how quickly installation went, and even though I started from scratch I didn't have to visit any websites to download drivers. Win7 automatically identified my hardware and downloaded the correct drivers. To sum up, my feeling is that while there may not be a compelling reason to upgrade from WinXP to 7, there is a much greater reason to upgrade from Vista.
