It is a small fee ($5 USD/mo) but also provides a reliable anonymous proxy, allowing me to surf without acquiring nasty viruses. I've used COTSE for about 12 years, and since that time, I've never had a virus crash. Before COTSE, I had hard disk crashes almost every six months. Gmail has most of COTSE's advantages, but doesn't have the proxy. I use the proxy with Foxy-Proxy on Firefox. As a result, I can count on one hand the number of spam messages that get through every day. --Bob -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
